LIGHTS UP: A giant animal carrier. Animal eyes inside it. Large. 2 kids.

1: Mom won’t let you keep him.

2: We’ll see about that.

1: How you gonna get her to let you?

(ANIMAL snorts.)

2: Somehow I don’t think she’ll have much choice.

1: I like it. I like how you think.

(The ANIMAL snarls and rattles in the cage. The children look on. They smile.)
